In the Second World War the result of the fight of Guadalcanal will strongly influence the progress of the Japanese in the Pacific. A group of young soldiers is brought in as a relief for the sea unities tired from the fight. The tiresome fight for a key-opposed airfield, the control of a mile radius 1000 permits, brings the men of the army gun society C for Charlie by the hell. The frights of the war form the soldiers in a clinging group, her feelings develop in bonds of the love and even family. The reasons for this war come farther because the world becomes smaller for the men and smaller, until her fights are for the bare survival and the life of the other men with them. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wird das Ergebnis des Kampfs von Guadalcanal den Fortschritt des Japaners in den Pazifik stark beeinflussen. Eine Gruppe von jungen Soldaten wird in als eine Erleichterung für die vom Kampf müden Seeeinheiten gebracht. Der ermüdende Kampf für einen Schlüssel-eingestellten Flugplatz, der Kontrolle über einen 1000-Meilenradius erlaubt, bringt die Männer der Armeegewehr-Gesellschaft C-for-Charlie durch die Hölle. Die Schrecken des Krieges bilden die Soldaten in eine eng anliegende Gruppe, ihre Gefühle entwickeln sich in Obligationen der Liebe und sogar Familie. Die Gründe für diesen Krieg kommen weiter weg, weil die Welt für die Männer kleiner und kleiner wird, bis ihr Kämpfen für das bloße Überleben und das Leben der anderen Männer mit ihnen ist.
