Plot Summary: Arthur Dent is a British commoner. When he meets finally his perfect wife it moves back in front of its request to go a place and it is then eluded of him by an aspiring man to have his own spaceship arrives at the party. Arthur notes then that his home must be demolished for one transversal route. He thinks that it is only his home, but realises later, with the help of Ford Prefect, that his galactic home, the Earth, is also going to be destroyed. Ford and Arthur catch an itinerary then on a spaceship and are Arthur is on the adventure of a life. He also finds the woman eluded by him and the man who hid her. If the Earth can be restored Arthur would he like to ease behind in his annoying life?.
Arthur Dent est un roturier britannique. Quand il rencontre finalement sa femme parfaite il recule devant sa demande d'aller un endroit et elle est alors esquivée de lui par un homme prétendant avoir son propre vaisseau spatial arrive au parti. Arthur constate ensuite que sa maison doit être démolie pour un rocade. Il croit que c'est seulement sa maison, mais réalise plus tard, avec l'aide de Ford Prefect, que sa maison galactique, la Terre, va être détruite aussi. Ford et Arthur attrapent alors un trajet sur un vaisseau spatial et sont Arthur se trouve sur l'aventure d'une vie. Il trouve aussi la femme esquivée de lui et l'homme qui l'a dérobée. Si la Terre peut être restituée Arthur voudra-t-il s'atténuer en arrière dans sa vie ennuyeuse ?.
