Plot Summary: Born Nikolai Luzhin of the mysterious and charismatic Russian is a driver of one of the organized families of crime more well-known than London of Oriental European origin. The family itself is a part of Vory V criminal fraternity Zakone. Headed by Semyon, whose elegant enchantment as the owner of welcome of plush from Trans-Siberian restaurant impeccably masks a cold and brutish nucleus, the fortunas of the family are tested by the volatile son of Semyon and enforcer, Kirill, who is more just clumsy to Nikolai of which to his father himself. But the carefully maintained existence of Nikolai is rattled as soon as he crosses ways in the Time of Christmas with Anna Khitrova, midwife in a hospital of London of the North. Anna is deeply affected by the desperate situation of a young adolescent to whom he dies giving birth to a baby. Anna decides trying to draw the lineage of the baby and relatives. The personal diary of the girl also survives him; it is written in Russian, and Anna looks for answers in him.
